IDMA 2011: Mahendra Swarup & Shashi Sinha to co-chair Jury

Momentum is building up for the second Indian Digital Media Awards 2011, which will be held in Mumbai. Mahendra Swarup, Chief Mentor, Smile Interactive Technologies Group, and Shashi Sinha, CEO, Lodestar UM India, will co-chair the Jury this year.

Entries are now open for the Awards. This year, there will be 25 Awards across five categories. The Indian Digital Media Awards, organised by the exchange4media Group, recognise the work being done in the ever-growing advertising and marketing communications activity in the digital media space, specifically Internet, mobile, gaming, social media and the blogosphere.

To be eligible, work of the entrant must have been used/ deployed between 00:00 hours on January 1, 2010 and 11:59 hours on December 31, 2010. There will be no entries for the Hall of Fame Awards, the winners will decided on by the Jury or on the basis of points received.

Best Use of Online Banner Advertising (Single)
Best Use of Online Banner Advertising (Campaign)
Best Use of Online Banner Advertising in Rich Media
Best Website/ Microsite – Product
Best Website/ Microsite – Service
Best Website/ Microsite – Corporate
Best Website/ Microsite – Public Service/ Cause
Best Website/ Microsite – Event

B. Mobile/ Viral/ Gaming/ Apps
Best Use of Gaming as a tool for advertising
Best Use of Email Marketing
Best Use of Viral Marketing
Best Use of Mobile Advertising
Best App
Best Use of Technology

C. Social Media/ Twitter/ Blogs
Best Use of Social Networks – Product/ Service/ Corporate
Best Use of Social Networks – Public Service/ Cause/ Event
Best Use of Twitter
Best Use of Blogs

D. Special Awards
Best Use of an Indian Language in Online Banner Advertising
Best video creative made only for the Internet/ mobile media
Best Integrated Campaign – Corporate/ Product/ Service
Best Integrated Campaign – Public Service/ Cause/ Event

E. Hall of Fame Awards
Best Digital and Social Media Advertiser
Digital and Social Media Agency of the Year
IDMA Person of the Year
