Hutch charts aggressive initiatives for growth

Hutch has unveiled its brand in Haryana with a promise of world class mobile telephony through improved network quality, customer care initiatives and a range of value added services. The company has reiterated its commitment of Rs 125 crore till the end of 2004 for these initiatives.

Commenting on the launch of Hutch in the state, Rajiv Sawhney, Executive Director, Hutchison Essar says, "Hutch has been extremely well received in all the markets it has been introduced in. A stronger network, a host of innovative services and an enhanced user experience will support the introduction of Hutch in Haryana. In 2004, we are focusing on expanding our presence into key markets in North India. This launch follows the recent launch of the brand in Rajasthan and UP East earlier this month."

Hutch is a new cellular brand in Hutchison Telecom's family of international communications brands. Sawhney remarks, "The Hutch brand is not just a logo or only a telecom brand. It is a service philosophy and represents our unique way of doing business. It is about delivering performance and making the experience enjoyable at the same time for all those who come into contact with it."

The cellular brand provider is strengthening the network by upgrading the infrastructure and installing additional cell sites and switches, and upgrading the platform for pre-paid subscribers.

G Udayan Dravid, COO, Hutchison Essar, Rajasthan & Haryana, says, "With the investment in network, Hutch subscribers will experience extended coverage across the state including highways. Additionally, Hutch will soon have a larger presence across the state - from the current 46 key locations, it will soon cover 75 cities and towns." The company has introduced service initiatives like comprehensive GPRS service in the country as well.
