HT Media closes strategic deal with online jobs solutions leader Redmatch

Redmatch, which makes technologies to recruit workers via the Internet, has closed a strategic deal with HT Media Ltd, which unveiled the all-new Hindustantimes.com on April 30 this year. Redmatch is one of the leaders in online recruitment solutions. The size of the deal could not be ascertained.

Using unique real-time job-matching technology, Redmatch enables recruiters to find and hire the best people, in a faster and more cost-effective way. Redmatch provides a variety of products including job portal solutions, newspaper online employment advertising solutions, corporate applicant tracking systems, and staffing companies’ solutions.

Amit Garg, Business Head-Internet, HT Media, said, “The reason we have tied with Redmatch is that they will help us in our recruitment section on HtClassifieds.biz where job seekers can search jobs. The site will have international jobs too. We are revamping this site within two months.”

Garg explained that Microsoft had revamped Hindustantimes.com, Livemint.com and HTClassified.biz recently.

However, sources in the industry claim that this partnership with Redmatch was formed as HT Media plans to launch a job portal within two months. Alongside jobs, HT Media is looking at another vertical, which would go live when the investors are finalised. Details are still not available.

Redmatch is expanding strongly in Asia. The agreement with HT Media is its most important contract in the region. Recently, it also bagged the contract to upgrade the website of Kompas, which is the biggest daily paper in Indonesia.

Redmatch has been in India for six years. It changed its business strategy last year and it no longer focuses on technology sales. Instead, it aims to enter strategic partnerships with big media groups in Asia.
