Housing.com restructures to focus on new strategy for home buyers

Housing.com has announced that the company is restructuring to focus on the home-buying real estate segment and drive further efficiencies across the company.

Housing.com will have a unified and single focus on building a world-class Home-Buying product for its users. Despite the presence of several players in the online real estate space, consumers, developers and agents in India still face many challenges in their journeys of buying or selling homes. With its market-leading technological capabilities and several strategic acquisitions, such as a premier company focused on legal & technical due diligence of real estate (Realty Business Intelligence), the most popular real estate community forum (India Real Estate Forum), and a complete CRM solution for real estate developers (HomeBuy360), the Company is firmly positioned to solve the challenges facing stakeholders in the home-buying market.  Furthermore, Housing.com will be reorganizing its teams to more efficiently execute this new focused strategy and, as a result, will be reducing its employee base.

Commenting on this, Jason Kothari, Chief Executive Officer, Housing.com said, “Housing.com will now be laser focused on solving the pain points in home buying and selling, the largest real estate segment, and we are excited about the potential impact our solutions could have on consumers, developers and agents across the country. We will be reorganizing the company to fit this new focused strategy and, to this end, expect to reduce our workforce.  The Company values the contributions of its talented team and will do everything it can to support its departing team members."

In the last few months, Housing.com has been rapidly building its business – the Company has made numerous additions to its senior management team, including Mani Rangarajan, Chief Financial Offer, Nikhil Rungta, Chief Marketing Officer, Nandini Mehta, General Counsel, Abhishek Hota, Chief of Staff and Keerthi Kiran, VP-New Real Estate Projects; formed a strategic multi-year partnership with MCHI and CREDAI, the largest real estate developer body; launched a first-of-its-kind innovative marketing platform for premier real estate developers called BRAND FALCON; created the first virtual real estate expo resulting gaining 60,000 home buyers; and became the first online real estate platform to reach 1 million Verified Listings.
