Government empanels Isobar with National e-Governance Plan for Digital India Program

The Government of India (GoI) has empanelled Isobar, the digital agency from Dentsu Aegis Network, with the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) for the Digital India Program. The mandate here is specifically for GoI’s Digital Media Services. The decision was taken after careful scrutiny and a thorough and transparent bidding process that included multiple agencies.

Commenting on the empanelment, Shamsuddin Jasani, Managing Director, Isobar India said, “It is a great honour for us to be working with the National e-Governance Plan for its Digital India Program. We could not ask for a better project to work on which marries our passion for digital and working for the society and country at large.”

The main difference between Digital India and the programmes in the past is that there is a sense of understanding of the need for implementing it holistically. The policy document moves away from the sector-specific programs and envisages a framework that covers the entire digital ecosystem in the country. It aims to address the issue of the presently stressed infrastructure and strengthen connectivity at the grass roots to enable the spread of information to the yet unconnected (about 60 crore) citizens.

Gopa Kumar, Vice President, Isobar India added, “It’s really an honour for us to partner NeGP on this prestigious project. We aim to invest in this partnership with our innovation and media expertise and work towards transforming India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy.”

Isobar India aims at playing an active and productive role with the NeGD in its future projects under the 'Digital India' banner.
