Flytxt, a company specialising in mobile marketing solutions, is reportedly in talks with leading service providers in India to implement its innovative software platform Neon in the country in the next six weeks. The Neon platform has been created by Flytxt’s UK and India technology teams, and helps unlock the value in mobile databases for marketers to reach their customers through the mobile channel. The service will be provided free to all consumers.
Flytxt had entered India in November 2006.
Sanjit Chatterjee, Country Manager & Director-Marketing & Sales, Flytxt, said, “India is one of the biggest consumer markets of the world and has one of the fastest growing mobile penetrations. So, mobile marketing could revolutionise experiences for both customers and marketers. We will be launching the service in August with a leading service provider in India. However, we can’t disclose its name at this point.”
He further said, “We will help the carrier achieve better results by targeting a better TG, using multiple languages and time slots for customers. Flytxt has helped unlock the value in mobile databases for scores of marketers in the West by sending targeted, personalised marketing messages to millions of customers.”
“We are targeting multiple carriers, which are our primary focus. We are targeting media companies like TV channels, banks, and mobile VAS companies,” Chatterjee said, adding, “We are working with Naspers in South Africa, EMI in the UK and Orange Telecom in the US. We will also be offering health tips, news and cricket news, etc.”
