Entries have been invited for the Indian Digital Media Awards 2010 (IDMA 2010). In all, 23 Awards would be given across six categories – Web, Gaming, Mobile/Viral, Social Media, Special Awards and Hall of Fame. Details of each category and participation forms will be available on exchange4media.com from Monday, February 15, 2010.
IDMA 2010 recognises the excellence shown by organisations and individuals in India’s growing digital media sector, specifically the Internet, mobile, gaming and social media.
The Web category will have seven awards for ‘Best Use of Online Banner Advertising’, ‘Best Website Debut’, ‘Best Use of Online Banner Advertising in Rich Media’, ‘Best Microsite’, ‘Best Corporate Site’, ‘Best Web Portal of the Year’, and ‘Best News Site of the Year’.
The Gaming category will have three awards for ‘Best Gaming Site of the Year’, ‘Best In-game Advertising’, and ‘Best Use of Gaming as a Tool for advertising’.
The Mobile/Viral category will have four awards for ‘Best Use of Email Marketing’, ‘Best Use of Viral Marketing’, ‘Best Use of Mobile Advertising’, and ‘Best Mobile App’.
‘Best Use of Social Media’ and ‘Best Blog of the Year’ Awards will be given under the Social Media category. ‘Best Public Utility Site of the Year’, ‘Best Use of Language in Online Advertising’ and ‘Best Integrated Digital Campaign’ Awards fall under the Special Awards category. ‘Best Use of Language in Online Advertising’ Award will be given to the work that communicates the brand message in Hindi/regional languages using the standard script of the language. For example, in the case of Hindi, it will be the Devanagri script.
The ‘Hall Of Fame’ Awards will be given to the ‘Best Digital Advertiser’, ‘Digital Agency of the Year’, ‘Digital Entrepreneur of the Year’ and ‘Digital Person of the Year’. The number of entries for these Awards will be decided on by the jury. The ‘Digital Agency of the Year’ will be awarded to the digital/ creative agency/ organisation that will win the maximum number of awards at the IDMA 2010.
The forms must be submitted online and the last date for receiving entries is Friday, February 26, 2010.
To be eligible, an entrant’s work should have been aired between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2009. There is an entry fee of Rs 1,000 per entry, along with attractive incentives for 10 or more entries.
