After the launch of Concrea Communications, a youth marketing and communications agency in August 2009, the Electronic Youth Media Group has announced the launch of online youth marketing platform - Youthscene.in, which is scheduled to go live on World Youth Day, which is on January 12, 2010. ‘Youth Scene’ is attempting to be a one-stop solution for insight into India's young population, and is also working on enabling brand managers, marketers, planners to directly connect with different sub types within this segment.

An application on this platform will enable users to ask a direct question targeted to a pre-defined type of respondent as required, and it will be answered within 12 hours. Some of the features include a trend meter, buzz matrix and an insight manager. Youth Scene will also host a tool that would allow market czars to collaborate their knowledge and collectively build cutting edge Youth Marketing Theories to understand and reach out to this complex TG.

Samyak S.Chakrabarty - Managing Director, Electronic Youth Media Group said, “Most of the services provided will be free of cost other than the "E-Group Discussions" which will bring together young people from various backgrounds and cities on a common platform to interact on a client specific hypothesis. Online Video Panels and Interactive E-Surveys are also in pipeline. Our proprietary 'Student Transmitter Model' will be a fundamental source of insights and trend feeds for the platform.”

Arun Ramanan, Vice President, Electronic Youth Media Group said, “The Group will also be entering the niche space marketing business, where they would be acquiring spaces which will offer strategic and cost effective branding opportunities at spots that attract a wide audience of youngsters. We have identified places where brands can build a stronger and direct connect with this segment. Our focus will mainly be on campuses and at hangouts that might not be a part of large chains but will be more effective.”

Electronic Youth Media Group is also said to be releasing an e-report titled ‘India Youth Scene 2009’ early next year that will primarily focus on emerging trends, internet behaviour, career patterns, behavioural patterns, spending, and media consumption.
