Creative Thinks Media launches photo e-comm site

In a bid to take forward commercial and fine art photography in the country, Creative Thinks Media is launching a dedicated e-commerce website – The website, which will be formally launched on September 16, 2011, seeks to make photography an accessible form of art.

Commenting on the initiative, Ritesh Malik, Managing Director, Creative Thinks Media Pvt Ltd, said, “Through, we aim to bring a huge platform for young and amateur photographers to showcase their ideas, skills and talent.”

When asked why add ‘clinic’ in the name, Malik explained, “We thought of this name for product differentiation. Also, ‘clinic’ symbolises solutions to health problems and Chitraclinic signifies solutions for all your innovative image needs.”

Commenting on the USP of the website vis-à-vis others, he said, “Our work will be more on the artistic side, also we will focus more on object photography. There will be no focus on human faces or emotions on our portal. Moreover, we will make this a platform where young budding photographers could get a chance to showcase their talent without any strings attached. It would be a platform which would give an opportunity to the artistic and unconventional form of photography and would aim to get them on an equivalent space with the mainstream commercial photography.”

He further said, “We would also take pride in associating ourselves with renowned photographers and bringing the best in photography to our audience. We aim to become the No. 1 source for pictures on the web.”

The website will primarily be promoted through online media like social networking sites and blogs, besides radio, BTL activities and the print medium.

Creative Thinks Media has launched this initiative on the occasion of completing three years. The other initiatives of the Group include Media Clinic, which is into newspaper advertising; Dew Drops, which is into printing; and Creative Thinks Media Studio, dedicated to producing TV, radio commercials and any other form of designing work ranging from designing and conceptualising the entire branding communication’s or simple stationary designing.
