Contests2win.com (C2W), an online interactive marketing solutions company, has joined hands with Airtel to promote SongCatcher on the online space. The product, which has been introduced by Airtel, is based around Hello Tunes. By just dialling 393 on one’s Airtel phone, a user can make any song their Hello Tune or Caller Ringback Tone as they are popularly known.
C2W has come out with an advergame, where the concept of SongCatcher has been used.
Explaining the rationale behind this activity, Raj Menon, COO, Contests2win.com, said, “Airtel gave us a very pointed objective – drive home the innovation of SongCatcher in the most exciting way possible. The Internet is the ideal medium to reach out to early adopters for such a unique product. The contest takes about five minutes to play – that is five minutes of interactive involvement with the product, which is only possible on the Internet.”
In the advergame, users experience a virtual walk through the streets of India, vibrant with activity and familiar tunes. In a stipulated time they are required to scout around and look for songs embedded in the picture. Once found, they can ‘catch it’ and set it as their Hello Tune. Additionally, select winners of the game also get to take home some gifts.
