Each month, YouTube reveals the ten most watched videos that received the maximum (both paid and unpaid) views on the site. In August 2016 three of the top ten ads were from India - including the number one spot.
In Asia-Pacific, well over half (60%) of YouTube watch time happens on mobile, but the list for August 2016 shows brands are thinking big on the smallest of screens. There’s a certain cinematic flair on display here: from Ching’s Secret’s list-topping ad, mixing post-apocalyptic visuals with a Bollywood twist, to Suntory’s ad at the no. 2 spot with its swashbuckling fantasy theme. But this list also shows it’s not just about movie-trailer style videos - on YouTube, there’s something for everyone.
