CellNext, India’s leading wireless VAS and application solution provider, has launched 6677 short code infotainment service. With 6677’s ABCD – astrology, Bollywood, cricket, downloads – and hosts of other exciting interactive content, cellphone users can not only jazz up their phone ringers with the latest ringtones, but also capture the latest news. Cellnext has designed an exclusive website, 6677.in, to bring its services to users.

Delving on the importance of VAS such as 6677, Ajay Vaishnavi, VP and Head- Business Operations, said, “There has been an upsurge in the demand for value-added services by customers. 6677 is for the benefit of those looking to enhance and stretch the utility of their new generation cellphones to a wider level.”

Based on an SMS platform, Cellnext has tied up with major telecom operators across the country to enable access to the services featured on 6677.in.

6677 provides customers with updates on news, flight schedules, weather, cricket and TV schedules. For those actively keeping a tab on the ups and downs in the share markets, reports on stocks will be regularly flashed.

Additionally, 6677.in’s ‘infozone’ also features flight and railway schedules. 6677 will be the first service to disseminate railway enquiries in Hindi. The website also contains information pertaining to health, restaurants around the city, cocktails and mocktails.

The CellNext-powered ‘infozone’ also facilitates and supports functions such as chain messaging and SMSes in Hindi.

Meanwhile, celebrating the spirit of Valentine’s Day, CellNext has also entered into a strategic alliance with Cafe Coffee Day to present lucky customers exclusive freebees and give-aways. Customers can take part in these fun contests from February 1-14.
