Cellcast India, which has forayed into a new interactive reverse auction called Bid2Win, is now taking several initiatives to cover all consumer touch points, which involve print, TVC, radio and events.
Rajeev Dhal, Vice-President, Cellcast India, said, “In a bid to offer a unique content property on Indian television, Cellcast India is running a show Bid2Win on Sony TV, Sahara TV, Zoom TV and Zee Punjab in the late prime time band of 11.30 pm to 12.30 am on all days of the week. We are expanding in southern states like Karnataka and Kerala. We are going to run Bid2Win in local languages on Sun TV, Gemini, Udaya and Surya TV from September.”
Cellcast India will break its print advertisements in national vernacular dailies in October. Dhal furthersaid, “I feel that the growth of value added services in smaller states is much more than in metros. There is a problem with TV penetration and electricity problem in some areas in Uttar Pradesh. We will be targeting metros later.”
For radio advertising, Dhal said that Bid2Win was tying up with a well-known radio channel. The radio campaign will commence from September.
In the events category Cellcast will be actively seen during college festivals in the top 20 cities in India to connect with the youth TG.
“We have done five million SMSes so far. Earlier, we were only restricted to Airtel, but now we are open to other GSM operators, including Hutch, Idea and Spice Punjab. Currently, we have 22 million subscribers and are aiming to have 50 million subscribers after tying up with other operators. We will be soon be launching our website in October,” Dhal added.
