Bose Corp expands Lifestyle product line with new home theatre systems

Bose Corporation has unveiled two premium home theater systems in the V-Class, thus expanding its Lifestyle product line. The two products, V30 and V20, are priced at Rs 191,138 and Rs 129,263, respectively, and provide high-quality audio and video from almost all entertainment sources available in the market, including those with HDMI (High Definition Multiple Interface).

The lifestyle V-Class systems integrate easily with HD televisions and components such as DVD players, cable/satellite boxes, DVRs, MP3 players, and gaming consoles. Each system delivers 5.1 surround sound with the help of five small speaker arrays, a receiver (media console), and a sub-woofer (Acoustimass module). All audio and video sources connect to the media console, which can be hidden away in a cabinet or closet.

Speaking at the launch, Ratish Pandey, General Manager, Bose Corporation India, said, “Delhi is an important market for us, and with these two new products we are targeting the premium segment. The advertising for the home theatre systems would be done by our in-house agency. We will be breaking the campaign in newspapers and lifestyle magazines by the end of February.”

“We haven’t tied up with any distribution outlets because our product belongs to the premium lifestyle segment. The products will be available only in our 16 company stores across nine cities as retail chains may not be able to create the mood required for a customer to actually experience the sound quality that we produce,” Pandey added.

He further said, “The competing brands include Onkyo. We are looking at India and China as our potential future markets.”
