'Matrimony Xpress' isn't the title of Kamal Hassan's next venture. Online matrimony service provider Bharat Matrimony.com has announced the launch of a new section on its site by that name. The 'relationship portal' has been launched with the objective of keeping in touch with existing customers, even after they enter wedlock, and to get in more traffic through an increased content spread, according to the portal's spokesperson.
Speaking to journalists at a press meet to announce the launch, S Suresh, Business Head of Bharat Matrimony, said, "We wanted customers to come back to us even after marriage. This is a value addition for existing customers and a reason for more people to access Bharat Matrimony. All the articles and features on the section can be accessed free of cost."
The editorial content will cover areas including relationships, diet and fitness, beauty and grooming, travel, book reviews and features of interest to singles and couples. Besides guest columns by experts from different fields, it will also have a section dedicated to celebrities.
Suresh clarified that there were no plan to take the content from the new section to print in the near future. He added that the sub-site Matrimony Xpress would be promoted across the 14 portals of BharatMatrimony, and said, "We enjoy (approximately) around 150 million page views a month, and Matrimony Xpress will greet them on the homepage."
While member feedback is said to be the major reason for the launch of Matrimony Xpress, it was informed that reader feedback would be the key to expansion of the portal. The content in the new section is to be updated on a weekly basis, and a free newsletter is to be sent to all subscribers, including past subscribers of Bharat Matrimony.
