Asianet Dataline to offer Net telephony

Asianet Dataline, the broadband Internet service arm of Asianet Satellite Communications Ltd, plans to provide its Internet customers the benefits of Net telephony and a relief from high international long-distance tariffs.

The company has arranged a free demonstration of Net telephony at the Asianet Cybermall, Manorama Junction, Kochi (Phone: 0484-320333) and the Asianet Area Office in Pangode, Thiruvananthapuram (Phone: 0471-355353) Today.

With ISPs now permitted to process and carry voice signals with effect from April 1, Asianet, an ISP licensee for Kerala, is in a position to offer a better service on its high-bandwidth, always-online cable network than the traditional ISP offering dial-up access.
