Airtel unveils India’s first ‘Free Flight Offer’ for post-paid customers

Airtel on Friday announced India's first ‘Free Flight Offer’ where all Airtel post-paid customers get an exclusive opportunity to avail a free Indian Airlines return ticket to select destinations in India. The offer is valid for all new and existing post-paid customers who opt for the new monthly rental plan of Rs 349 and above.

To be a part of the Airtel ‘Free Flight Offer’, all new customers have to pay Rs 599 as a one-time activation fee and Rs 500 as security deposit. Further, the customer needs to be on the Airtel network for a period of minimum three months and pay their bills on time.

The offer is open for new Airtel subscribers enrolling into this plan before December 31, 2005 and they can redeem the air ticket till October 30, 2006. After enrolling, the Airtel post-paid customer will be entitled to only one free return ticket originating from a list of select destinations in India only after completing three months from the date of enrollment.

Existing subscribers need to pay the plan activation fee of Rs 500 to avail this offer. However, if an existing subscriber is in a plan which is below Rs 349, then they need to upgrade to a plan of Rs 349 or above.

According to Hemant Sachdev, Group Chief Marketing Officer and Director-Mobility, Bharti Tele-Ventures Ltd, “The free flight offer is India's first by a telecom company and this is in line with our marketing strategy to offer innovative opportunities to all our Airtel customers. As leaders, we have always ensured that all our Airtel customers get the best value, enjoy world class services and be constantly rewarded for being part of the finest telecom services company in the country.”
