ActiveMedia Technology in strategic partnership with 2ergo Group Plc

Mobile marketing and technology company ActiveMedia Technology has entered into a business partnership with 2ergo Group Plc, a provider of convergent mobile communications. Under the partnership, and following earlier successful trials with some of its customers, ActiveMedia will re-sell 2ergo’s full mobile Internet and messaging product suite.

In particular, ActiveMedia will promote 2ergo’s MultiSend product to its Indian mobile network operator clients. MultiSend enables mobile network operators to engage with customers, using a range of personalised and interactive SMS, MMS, voice and email messaging features, via a single application.

2ergo provides global messaging and payment services, content management, mobile Internet, and convergent mobile applications. Headquartered in the UK, the Group provides mobile solutions in three key areas – marketing, business and entertainment.

It is also anticipated that the partnership will take both the companies into several new areas of technology development. The first of these would be 2ergo facilitating the integration of Broca Plc’s secure mobile technology, which can ensure security across the mobile channel with ActiveMedia’s patented and award winning RAPOSTM mobile couponing and ticketing platform. The platform enables mobile network operators, retailers and brands to deliver and redeem mobile coupons and tickets on any handset around the world, and is used by some of UK’s major cinema network promotion providers.

Neale Graham, Joint Chief Executive, 2ergo, commented, “The Indian market offers fantastic growth potential for 2ergo, and in ActiveMedia, we have found a partner who not only has great complementary technology, but also vast experience of the mobile space in the region. With over 300 million mobile subscribers in India, and subscriber numbers increasing by an estimated 5-8 million per month, we are confident that this first move into India will deliver substantial rewards for the Group.”

Raj Singh, Executive Director, ActiveMedia Technology, added, “Having already worked with the team at 2ergo on other projects, we are delighted to enter into a formal business partnership. This agreement is a tremendous opportunity for us to offer our Indian customer’s access to 2ergo’s globally proven mobile Internet and messaging product suite. With 2ergo’s products perfectly complementing our own, we are able to offer customers the very best-in-class solutions to run mobile marketing, entertainment and mCRM programmes.”
