ABP launches Internet mobile site and short code service

To tap into the growing market for downloadable ringtones, wallpapers, jokes, etc., ABP Group has launched a new Internet mobile site, At the same time, they have also come up with their short code on WAP operations, with SMS operations through 56569. ABP has tied up with Bobby Bedi-promoted entertainment company Kaleidoscope for this service.

The partnership will capitalise on both companies’ strengths to create original content across media for filmed entertainment, TV, mobile and Internet. The company will not only offer ringtones and wallpapers, but will also provide tailored mobile content.

ABP Internet and Telecom Group Business Head Saurav Sen said, “We are synergising with Kaleidoscope for mobile content. We will be showing mobisodes which consumers haven’t seen before, along with short films, video games and more.”

Sen explained that they have exclusive rights to Navjot Singh Sidhu’s anecdotes on mobile. “We are converting Sidhu’s jokes into stories and will then try to explain them through one-minute films. We are rolling out this service in about three to four weeks. This service will be available on Aircell, Hutch, BSNL, Reliance CDMA and GSM, and Tata Indicom. We want the mobile user’s experience to be rich and very different.”

Happy SMSing for more jokes!
