 Jabong ties up with MobiKwik, bets big on mobile payments

MobiKwik, a leading mobile wallet with 12 million users, has tied up with Jabong.com. Shoppers will now be able to avail splendid discounts and cashbacks if they pay through the mobile wallet.

MobiKwik has integrated with over 20,000 e-commerce players, the latest being Jabong.com. Understanding the increasing importance of the m-commerce industry in India, the virtual wallet has gathered popularity among e-commerce businesses, enabling them to tap into India’s rapidly growing segment of smartphone users who park money in mobile wallets and use it for making on-the-go purchases.

“Mobile commerce is on the rise and with our alliance with MobiKwik, we aim at setting new benchmarks in this space. With over 50 per cent of our business coming through mobile, it was vital to work on a solution that makes the whole process and experience, seamless. Encouraging customers to shop while on the go, Jabong will have exciting offers when making a payment through MobiKwik,” said Praveen Sinha, Co-Founder and Managing Director, Jabong. 

For MobiKwik users, Jabong offers a 30 per cent discount on a minimum purchase of Rs 999. Also, all purchases made on the fashion portal using MobiKwik wallet will be entitled to get 15 per cent cashback during the offer period, i.e. from January 29- 31.  The cashback, which has an upper limit of Rs 150, can be further utilised for making other transactions, viz. money transfer, recharges, bill payments, online shopping, etc. Shoppers need to apply the coupon code MOBIJAB30 on Jabong to avail 30 per cent discount. MobiKwik’s cashback can be claimed via a link that will be e-mailed to users within 72 hours or less of placing the order on Jabong. Upon confirmation, the cashback is deposited back into the MobiKwik wallet of the user.
