India won seven metals in the Promo & Activation Lions, PR Lions, Outdoor Lions and Glass Lions categories announced on Monday evening, drawing a blank in the Print & Publishing category.
Ogilvy & Mather India won a Gold in the Outdoor Lions category for the Savlon Healthy Hands Chalk Sticks campaign for ITC Savlon, while McCann Worldgroup India won a Silver for its campaign – Cat, Dog and Rabbit – for World for All (Animal Care and Adoptions) in the Outdoor Lions category.
Law&Kenneth Saatchi&Saatchi Mumbai won a Gold in the Glass Lions category for the #GiveHer5 campaign created for The Ammada Trust.
Ogilvy & Mather India bagged a Gold and a Bronze in the PR Lions category for the Savlon Healthy Hands Chalk Sticks campaigns, while BBDO India, Gurgaon won a Silver for the #ReleaseThePressure campaign for Mirinda.
Ogilvy & Mather Mumbai bagged a bronze award in the Promo and Activation Lions category as well. A total of 102 awards were announced in the category.
However, India failed to impress the Print and Publishing Lions Jury even after bagging nine shortlists in the category. This year, this is the first category in which India made it to the shortlist and missed bagging a Lion.
