India wins its first Integrated Lion; also a Silver Lion in Films
The Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival 2008 has seen India take a total of 23 metals home. These include one Integrated Lion and a Silver Lion. JWT has won the Integrated Lion for The Times of India’s Lead India campaign. There were in all only six metals awarded in this category. With a total of 23 metals, which included a Grand Prix and an Integrated Lion, India agencies are geared for the next year. Another busy year for IAF with Cannes Lions and Asia Tigers
The International Advertising Festival (IAF) is pleased with the Cannes Lions 2008 and is already geared for the year ahead. Festival officials divulged that in addition to some more award categories, Cannes Lions 2009 might also see some changes in Festival rules. While a final decision on everything would be taken after debriefing Cannes Lions 2008, the IAF is also geared for its latest property, Asia Tigers, which is scheduled for 2009. more...
