Pharma major Zandu is reviewing the creative side of its business. Agencies have already been invited for the pitch but none of the presentations is made as yet. The size of the account is estimated at Rs 15 to 20 crore.
Creative responsibilities for the present Zandu product portfolio are divided between two agencies, FCB Ulka and Saatchi & Saatchi. Where Kesari Jeevan and Pancharishtha are handled by Ulka, Saatchi & Saatchi takes care of Balm and Trishmin. For the record, the group’s media responsibilities are also split between two agencies – Universal McCann and MindShare.
The agencies invited for the pitch, apart from the incumbent ones, are McCann Erickson, TBWA\India and Everest.
Zandu is a household name and one of the leading players in the over-the-counter ayurvedic healthcare segment with products including the Zandu balm, general fitness medicine Zandu Kesari Jivan, Zandu Chyavanprash and digestive tonic Zandu Pancharishta.
Zandu has laid special emphasis on international operations. Zandu's ayurvedic herbal healthcare products are available in all major international markets in the US, Europe, in different Asian and select African countries as formulations and basic raw material.
