Yogesh Karikurve makes it to Berlinale Talent Campus 2012

The renowned Berlin Film Festival has selected Yogesh Karikurve, CEO, Magus Entertainment, for the Berlinale Talent Campus 2012. Over 5,000 people from about 137 countries apply every year and only 350 of them are chosen from the various fields of film-making. The Talent Campus will be held as part of Berlin Film Festival 2012 from February 11-16, 2012.

Ridley Scott and Shah Rukh Khan are among the few of the previous experts at the Berlinale Talent Campus, which brings emerging talent and seasoned film professionals together and offers them a platform to refresh their views, discover new horizons, find fellow filmmaking collaborators and discuss new trends and developments in contemporary cinema and media.

With a career in brands, television and films spanning 15 years, Karikurve started Magus Entertainment to provide a platform for Indian filmmakers to produce and market their films internationally and carve a niche for them in newer markets and distribution platforms. He has held senior positions with Zoom TV and Reliance big Pictures in international distribution and currently works closely with a lot of European and Latin American countries to market content.

The Berlinale Talent Campus is an initiative of the Berlin International Film Festival, a business division of the Kulturveranstaltungen des Bundes in Berlin GmbH, funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media upon a decision of the German Bundestag, in co-operation with media training programme of the European Union and Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg.
