Yahoo! India appoints The Media Edge, Neo@Ogilvy, Clear Channel as partner agencies

Yahoo! India has announced the appointment of its partner agencies following a multi-agency pitch. Neo@Ogilvy (formerly Ogilvy One), The Media Edge (TME) and Clear Channel have been appointed as the partner agencies for digital media, offline media and outdoor, respectively.

Speaking on this move, Neville Taraporewalla, Director and Country General Manager, Yahoo! India, said, “We are pleased to appoint these agencies as our advertising and media partners. The agencies have a clear understanding of our requirements and demonstrated involvement that a vibrant brand like Yahoo! would require.”

Anupriya Acharya, President, TME, said, “It is a prestigious win for us as Yahoo! India is a very respected brand and that too in a space that is all set for an exponential growth. Digital market, as we know, is poised for some very exciting times ahead. This win adds to our repertoire of other power brands that we handle like Colgate, IndianOil, Parle, Citibank, LIC, Taj and Arrow, among others.

Excited by this win, Prasanth Mohanachandran, Vice-President, Neo@Ogilvy India, said, “At Neo@Ogilvy, we are extremely thrilled with this win. Yahoo! India is a very exciting brand, which shares our belief that the digital age is here to stay and grow in India. We are looking forward to a terrific partnership with Yahoo! India.” Neo@Ogilvy has been established at a time when digital media investment is growing at three times the rate of total advertising spending.

Adille Sumariwalla, CMD, Clear Channel India, said, “We are delighted to win the Yahoo! India account, not only because we partner Yahoo! Globally, but also because of Yahoo! India acting as a catalyst on OOH for rest of the digital category. It is also one of the biggest and most prestigious wins for us in India. With Yahoo! India, we hope to bring international best practices through OOH innovations. Apart from win, the other national bluechip clients of Clear Channel India are Citi Financial, Air France, Haier Electronics, and Wonder Marbles.”
