Equus Red Cell has been appointed by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) to develop strategy towards managing the tourism image. The agency has chalked out a three-pronged strategy to change the way the tourism industry is perceived.
The agency will focus on changing the current perception of tourism among the power holders and decision makers of the country first. The second key issue that it would look into would be to define tourism industry as a key economic impacter. Lastly, it will work towards simplifying the complexities related to tourism issues.
Equus has added billings worth Rs 35 crore, with the new accounts that include those of Alliance Capital, S Kumar's and Modicare. With these new clients, the agency's total billings now amount to Rs 97 crore, up from the previous Rs 60 crore.
