With a new Head in Anant Pal Singh, Everest Brand Solutions, Delhi is in for a lot of changes in months to come. Said Everest President, Mahesh Chauhan, “Delhi will be an area of focus in 2006. We are going to become an aggressive agency. We need to catch up with the Delhi market and make a prominent place for our agency here. We need to get more visible, get more businesses and become a fairly larger player.”
Commenting on his new appointment, Singh said, “I am really excited. I am exploring the Delhi advertising market. I want to make Everest one of the top agencies in Delhi. We are looking for people in planning, account directors and client servicing team. We will be adding resources at every level in Delhi. The Delhi team currently has 40 people, we will increase it in the coming months.”
Singh added, “We are going to pitch for new businesses, but we are also looking for relationships that last a lifetime. We want our clients to appreciate our work and have a good understanding with us.”
When asked about the difference between the Delhi and Mumbai advertising markets, he said, “The Delhi advertising marketing is more aggressive, more fragmented and has far greater business possibilities. On the other hand, the Mumbai market is far more settled, has a larger chunk of aligned businesses and greater market scope because of Bollywood and photography base being in Mumbai.”
Meanwhile, one change already on the anvil is the shifting of Everest Brand Solutions, Delhi office to Gurgaon in the next two months.
