Welspun group scouts for media and creative agency

Welspun Group, with an annual turnover of Rs 2,000 crore, is looking for an advertising agency to take care of its media and creative duties. The business will be in excess of Rs 5 crore, said sources close to the company.

Ambience Publicis was earlier taking care of the group’s advertising, but for the last couple of months the company has been running campaigns developed by its in-house studio.

Now, these sources say, the group is looking for an agency to take care of its media and advertising duties. It is learnt that top advertising agencies have made official appointments and the group is taking its time to reach at a final decision.

The company has lined up major initiatives to promote Welspun Spaces, its home living brand. The company plans to consolidate this business which is seen by the management as a major portfolio with substantial potential.
