WARC 100: Mullen Lowe Lintas becomes No.1 creative agency of the world

Mullen Lowe Lintas Group, India has been named the top creative agency of the world by WARC 100. WARC 100 gives the annual ranking of the world's 100 best campaigns and companies based on their performance in effectiveness and strategy competitions. The agency is the only Indian agency among the top ten agencies.

India stood at No.3, after USA and UK, in the Top Countries of 2016 list.

Tata Group from India was the only brand to be featured in the list of the world's best advertisers of 2016. The group stood at No.9.

The agency acquired the top spot with 194.5 points followed by Droga5 New York at No.2 with 178.8 points. Ogilvy and Mather New York stood at No.3 and garnered 131.0 points. Leo Burnett Chicago stood fourth with 116.0 points whereas, AMV BBDO garnered 114.8 points and stood at No.5.

 

 

Other Indian agencies to be featured in the list are Ogilvy and Mather Mumbai (16), DDB Mudra (23), McCann Mumbai (27) and BBDO Mumbai (47).

Among the campaigns, ‘Kan Khajura Tesan’ by Lowe Lintas/ PHD which stood at No.1 in 2015, acquired the ninth spot this year. BBDO/Media Com’s ‘Touch The Pickle’ campaign stood at No.12. Mullen Lowe Lintas Group’s other campaign, out of the three Indian campaigns that featured in the top 20 list, was ‘ No Ullu Banaoing’ campaign which stood at No. 17.

Mediacom Mumbai and PHD Mumbai acquired eighth and 25th spots respectively in the best media agencies category whereas, OgilvyOne Mumbai secured the eighth spot in the world's best digital/specialist agencies of 2016.
