Volvo Car India has appointed Euro RSCG, Mindshare and Genesis Burson-Marsteller to handle its communication in India. These appointments follow a multi-agency pitch process based on invitation to agencies. While Genesis BM will be the public relations consultancy, Euro RSCG will handle the advertising communications and Mindshare will be the media buying agency. Industry sources say the business is worth Rs 10 crore.
Commenting on the appointment. Paul de Voijs, Managing Director, Volvo Car India, said, "We believe all the three consultancies have the necessary capability to assist us in achieving our business objectives. The strong process assurance, research-based planning and understanding of our strategic and tactical goals have differentiated their proposals."
Euro RSCG Branch Head Delhi Sushant Panda said, “We are gearing to launch the car in the last quarter of this year. We are already handling the creative account internationally. We will be handling both above the line and below the line activities, customer relationship management and events for Volvo car.”
