Viren Razdan appointed as VP of TBWA Anthem

Mr. Viren Razdan has been appointed as vice president of TBWA Anthem. Mr. Razdan was at one stage handling Coke accounts at Leo Burnett and McCann Erickson but most recently he was an ‘advertising consultant’ to Coca-Cola India. He will head the Delhi branch of the agency.

According to TBWA Anthem officials, Mr. Razdan’s recruitment comes as part of the agency’s ongoing restructuring process wherein the participation of the board members in the functioning of branch offices is being reduced. Instead, independent heads of branches are now being hired to decentralise the system. The CEO’s post has been relinquished.

TBWA Anthem’s Delhi branch had been headless for a year now, till it was filled up by Mr. Razdan. Previously, Mr. Sanjay Naik, who had joined TBWA Delhi as the president and CEO of the agency, later moved to McCann Erickson. Prior to that, the agency was headed by Mr. Navroze Dhondy, who later moved to Percept Advertising and is currently heading Percept’s Integrated Marketing Communications division.

TBWA Anthem, in which the New-York based TBWA holds 51 per cent equity stake, is headed by Mr. George K John, chairman and managing director. The agency’s total billings are over Rs 120 crore, with Delhi alone contributing about Rs 50 crore.
