Vikram Sakhuja moves to parent company GroupM

On October 16th , GroupM had announced the appointment of Lindsay Pattison as Global CEO of Maxus, she was preceded by Vikram Sakhuja.

The release however made no mention of Sakhuja’s new role, but clearly stated that he would remain within the group, industry insiders confirm that Sakhuja has moved to a new role in parent company GroupM .

Under Sakhuja, Maxus was the fastest growing media agency in the world.  It expanded its network footprint and added major new accounts such as NBC Universal and L’ Oreal.

Vikram Sakhuja’s appointment as Global CEO of Maxus, made it the first time that a global agency was headquartered in India, he is  also known as one of the most influential media professionals.

Sakhuja  gravitated towards the FMCG business, picking P&G. He also  helped create the AOR function in his first job at P&G which gives him enormous credibility. He headed Mindshare Fulcrum and Mindshare before moving to his last stint as country head of GroupM.
