Abby Awards at the Goafest have always been the centre of attraction. This year, the focus hasn’t changed, but the gloomy environment that the fest has been preceded by is doing the rounds. “Scam ads”, as many call them, have been the centre of discussions at every table in the fest. Also, the absence of Ogilvy from the fest was a prime concern for many. Agencies look up to winning over Ogilvy every year. Although both the issues are around, they are not dominating the spirit of the fest.
exchange4media spoke to some senior people in the media, marketing and advertising fraternity to discuss what they feel about the quality of the participants in the awards this year and their rating on the judging process.

Although all the above answered very candidly, none of them were willing to take an open guess on the probable winners at the awards.
