UrbanClap launches third TVC; urges consumers to take charge with the push of a button

Mobile services marketplace UrbanClap has announced the launch of its third TV commercial created by CellarDoor and starring Sumeet Vyas and Rasika Dugal. In its ongoing endeavor to increase customer touch base, UrbanClap hopes to strengthen its position among both consumers and competitors as one of the best on-demand service providers in the country.

With this campaign, UrbanClap is urging people to be #YourServiceExpert, and take charge with the push of a button. This is the first time the brand has roped in actors Sumeet Vyas and Rasika Dugal, who convey the message via a TVC.

Commenting on the launch, Abhiraj Bhal, Co-founder, UrbanClap, said, “Our target audience consists primarily of working professionals in urban areas who require our services to sort their day-to-day tasks and chores and make life simple. With this in mind, we believed that Sumeet and Rasika were the perfect choice to convey our message. UrbanClap is all about delivering high-quality, reliable services at just the push of a button.”

Elaborating further at the launch, Rishav Rastogi of CellarDoor said, “UrbanClap's brand team is very clear about their consumers and how their services fit into their lives. With the current TVC, they wanted to highlight the reliability of UrbanClap and the breadth of services available. They wanted to work with known faces who would also be relatable, while our script demanded very good acting. So, Rasika and Sumeet fit the roles perfectly. With their experience, they brought more than just performance to the table and were great sport to work with.”

Rasika Dugal commented, “For two people living a busy life in a city, working and running a house, the seemingly smaller things like who changes the light bulb, who fixes the AC become far more important than most other things. Sometimes, conversations between them are only about that—did you call the plumber, did you get the washing machine fixed? The ad explores that side of a relationship in a very fun way. It was a relaxed fun shoot with a lot of young energy with fresh ideas. I always enjoy that.”

Sumeet Vyas, popular from his role in Permanent Roommates, added, “I think UrbanClap is really convenient for us urban folks, especially those who are extremely busy, and also for those who are extremely lazy, like me, because it solves daily problems that really matter—whether it's calling a plumber or a carpenter, it's all there.”
