UK’s Toni & Guy to foray into India, assigns creative duties to Montage Advertising

Delhi-based Montage Advertising has bagged the creative duties for UK-based haircare product brand Toni & Guy. The company is foraying into India from January 2007 with three of its brands – Signature Red & White, Labello range, and Insights range. The account size is estimated at Rs 2 crore.

Shankar Alvar, VP-Marketing, Toni & Guy, said, “The strategy for Toni & Guy is to position the brand as a premium hair styling product. It was a multi-agency pitch in which there were four agencies in the final round, but we choose Montage as their presentation and strategy were very good. They had a good understanding of our products.”

Karunendra Mathur, Montage Advertising’s CEO, said, “We are really happy to bag the business of an international haircare brand. We are going to advertise mainly in print. We are targeting all fashion and lifestyle magazines such as F&L, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, Stardust, etc. We are also going to do point-of-sale activities like mailers, banners, etc.”
