Times Now scores at the Asia Image Apollo Awards

Times Now has scored at this year’s Asia Image Apollo Awards, an awards programme that seeks to recognise the talent and achievements of those who work behind-the-scenes to bring quality images. Times Now has received recognition in the category of Best Theme Music, Best Live Animated Opening Sequence and Best Live Action Opening Sequence for its shows.

The Apollo Awards are the premier Asia Pacific awards programme for editors, directors, DOPs, animators, broadcast designers, and the rest of the community whose talents often go unrecognised and this year it was supported by the Media Development Authority of Singapore, and the Asian Television Awards.

Composure Mahesh Tinaikar’s signature tune and weekend music for Times Now won the channel the Best Theme Music award. Tinaikar’s music was termed as exhibiting “a sense of urgency, synonymous with the name of the channel and promotes a very people centric theme and identity for the channel”.

Times Now’s weekend shows like ‘By Invitation Only’, ‘The Foodie’, ‘Life’s Like That’, ‘Sports Unplugged’, etc., are unabashedly urbane in their outlook and are designed to meet the infotainment needs of the city viewer. The packaging of the show ‘By Invitation Only’ was recently awarded with The Silver Telly, USA.

Asia Image is the region’s leading publication for the broadcast, production, and post industries. Last year, with the support of several sponsors and industry bodies, the publication launched the Asia Image Apollo Awards.
