Times Global Broadcasting appoints Lowe India for forthcoming biz channel
Times Global Broadcasting Co Ltd (TGBCL), the BCCL venture in the news broadcasting space, has appointed Lowe Lintas India to handle the creative mandate for its forthcoming business news channel, which at present is code named ET TV. The development comes in the wake of a multi-agency pitch that saw the participation of agencies such as McCann Erickson and Rediffusion Y&R.
TGBCL officials declined to comment on the development, but sources familiar with the situation informed that TGBCL was only reviewing its creative mandate and not the media mandate. It is understood that Lodestar Universal, which is the current media agency of Times Now, would handle the media mandate for ET TV.

However, a highly placed source said, “ET TV is going to ensure that it has done all the necessary things to make its presence felt in the business broadcasting space, and that means a significant spend on the channel’s advertising too.”
