“Going forward, more media will be based on digital platforms and subsequently, more marketing will be based on new media and interactive ideas,” said Dominic Proctor, President, GroupM Worldwide, stating that this will be a the most fundamental shift in media mindset.
Proctor believes that India is still relatively behind the curve in terms of the digital explosion. “But you can definitely see a shift from time spent on broadcast television to time spent on digital platforms,” he added.
“India is an interesting market; it is still growing and is among the faster growing markets in the world alongside Russia, Brazil, China, etc.,” said Proctor.
Proctor was sharing his thoughts on how has media evolved over the years and the growth path ahead at the 13th edition of exchange4media Conclave held in Mumbai on November 25, 2013.
