TBWA India has invited PC Amarnath to head its Chennai branch as General Manager. Amarnath, who has worked with TBWA India earlier, describes this movement as a homecoming.
As he says, he has some distinct plans for the future-functioning style of the agency. “My agenda for the branch is to look at both organic and inorganic growth. More importantly, the task is to get it on to the radar of the clients looking for creative disruption in their communication by breaking conventional methods of thinking and thereby, gaining a larger share of the future,” adds Amarnath.
A seasoned advertising professional with a career spanning over 12 years in different frontline advertising agencies like Mudra and O&M, was working with Wunderman – the direct marketing arm of WPP Group as the Account Manager.
Further referring to his strategy in the new role, Amarnath tells exchange4media.com that he would try to see how he could start things from the present scenario. “I will focus more on Henkel and Apple brands with the agency, which are more likely to get active now. I have a young and dedicated team with me at TBWA Chennai and everybody is gung-ho about the whole concept,” he says.
