Share strengthens leadership team ahead of big launches, Tata group’s multi-brand phygital e-commerce player, today announced the appointment of Vikas Purohit as Chief Operating Officer to spearhead the commercial, seller management and digital marketing functions. To support Purohit further to build the portal’s luxury portfolio, Amit Rawal has been appointed as Head - Luxury Business. Tata CLiQ has witnessed a multi-fold growth since its launch in May this year and is all set for the next big scale up to strengthen its footprint in the Indian e-commerce space. These appointments come at a time when TataCLiQ is at a crucial growth juncture and is expected to launch two new categories and the luxury portfolio.

As the COO, Purohit’s mandate would be to strengthen and grow the commercial, seller management and digital marketing functions. Purohit was one of the first few employees of and is credited for building one of the most successful fashion businesses for the portal across geographies. He comes with a strong e-commerce and fashion retail experience and his appointment is a step further in the company’s strategic plans to build the brand portfolio and expand offerings for its customers. He has previously held leadership positions at, Reliance Brands, Tommy Hilfiger India and Aditya Birla Group’s Madura Garments and is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Management, Bengaluru.

Under the leadership of Purohit, Rawal as head of the luxury business, will focus on building India’s largest luxury-lifestyle destination and increasing awareness of TataCLiQ’s luxury brand offerings. Rawal has a successful entrepreneurial background having founded, a leading premium e-commerce portal. He has strong global management experience in his previous stints with Thomson Reuters and Deloitte Consulting, where he managed multi-billion P&L’s and advised fortune 100 companies. He is a technology evangelist with strong expertise in e-commerce, business development, Omni-Channel retail, digital marketing and analytics.
