Tata’s Westside looks for media partner to handle Rs 10-12-cr account

Tata Retail Enterprises (Trent) - the company operating under the brand name 'Westside', is looking out for a media partner. The group has called for a pitch and is evaluating agencies for the same. Sources inform that a few agencies have already been approached. However, the account is pegged at Rs 10 to 12 crore.

The pitch comes closely following Tata Motors' decision to move out of the current Tata group AoR. The group agency of record is The MediaEdge. However, a pitch was called in June. And, the agencies invited for the pitch were GroupM, Lodestar, Starcom and Madison. Of these, Madison dropped out citing reasons of conflict. The pitch presentations of the other agencies were scheduled for July, but have been postponed.

Trent - a Tata group company, is a known player in the modern retail market. The company got the present name after it was renamed consequent to the sale of Lakme brand. It deals with retailing of garments and household accessories.
