Tata Indicom signs on actress Trisha as brand ambassador for southern circles

Not long after signing on Sania Mirza, Tata Teleservices Limited has announced that it has signed on actress Trisha as the new brand ambassador for the Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh telecom circles. She will represent all Tata Indicom products in the said regions for the contract period of a year.

The company spokesperson said that the "vibrancy and youthfulness" of the actress are in tune with Tata Indicom's brand identity and the target segments. Madhusudan, COO, Tamil Nadu and Kerala Circles, Tata Teleservices, said, "The youth are growing segment in the telecom sector and the announcement of Trisha as a brand ambassador is one such effort to connect with this segment."

He added that campaigns featuring the new brand ambassador would follow, including outdoors and TVCs. Quite recently, Trisha was signed on by Coca Cola India to endorse its soft drink brand Fanta in Tamil Nadu.

The association also takes forward Tata Indicom's association with films in Tamil Nadu. In the initial frames of the film 'Chandramukhi' being co-promoted by Tata Indicom and the producers Sivaji Productions, the new brand ambassador will welcome the audience. The movie is slated for release on April 14, Tamil New Year's day.
