Tata AIG Life signs up Harsha Bhogle as brand ambassador

Tata AIG Life Insurance Company has announced a business association with the well-known cricket commentator, Harsha Bhogle, in order to endorse its market-leading whole life insurance product, MahaLife. Tata AIG Life claims to be the first insurance company in India to offer a unique whole life insurance cover that generates guaranteed annual tax-free income (as per the current tax laws). Under the brand endorsement agreement, Harsha Bhogle will be endorsing MahaLife for Tata AIG Life in a series of television, print, outdoor and multi-media campaigns for the next 2 years.

Ian J-Watts, Managing Director, Tata AIG Life, asserts, "Harsha Bhogle enjoys immense popularity and credibility in India. We strongly feel that Harsha's personality matches well with MahaLife and his association with the product is a perfect match."

Tata AIG Life's 'MahaLife' policy pays non-guaranteed cash dividends each year starting from the sixth year of the commencement of the policy, subject to the company's performance. It also guarantees annual payments of five percent of the sum assured each year from the 12th policy anniversary onwards for life to the policyholder. Furthermore, in case of death or on maturity, the policy pays the entire sum assured to the nominee or the insured respectively. All these benefits are tax- free (as per the current tax laws).

'MahaLife' is an easy-to-buy hassle-free whole-life insurance plan with only a 12-year premium paying term. The minimum entry age is 30 days and the maximum is 60 years old. 'MahaLife' is ideal for kids and also for adults, giving them guaranteed income and coverage for life.
