Tarun Nigam puts in his papers at VivaKi Partnerships

Tarun Nigam, COO, VivaKi Partnerships has put in his papers. He is serving his notice period, which ends on December 31, confirmed industry sources.

Nigam was appointed as COO last year for VivaKi Partnership, a special unit housed under VivaKi Exchange which is a focused initiative by VivaKi to pursue partnerships with local full service agencies and media agencies in tier II and III markets across the country.

These partnerships are in the form of exclusive relationships to support the agencies on their strategic product and provide value-added services. Additionally, VivaKi Partnerships also works with small-size advertisers to help them achieve better pricing value on their media spends.  

An MBA in Marketing from Philippine Christian University, Manila, Nigam has over 19 years of experience. He handled marketing and sales at UTV and spent several years in WPP Media [Mindshare, Maxus and MediaCom], and at Starcom MediaVest Group under the Publicis Groupe.

Before he moved as office head for MediaCom Delhi earlier this year, he led several clients at Maxus, including the large Hero Honda AOR. At Starcom, where he handled the entire north business operations, he has serviced Samsung, Aircel, Educomp and Make My Trip.

In his stint at WPP’s various agencies, he worked on accounts such as Gillette, Ranbaxy, LG Electronics, American Express, NIIT and Monte Carlo.

Nigam’s accounts at VivaKi Partnerships included work for the JaypeeGroup and Indian Badminton league.
