TapRoot, Motivator roped in for brand campaign for UTV; spends pegged at Rs 25 cr

UTV Global Broadcasting is all set to beef up its communication strategy for its channels – UTV Movies, the newly-launched UTV Action and Bindass. TapRoot India has been roped in as the creative agency to execute the campaign, while GroupM’s Motivator will look after the media duties.

It is learnt that there will be a massive brand campaign that will be undertaken by these agencies. The campaign is expected to commence from January 2010 and continue till April 2010.

MK Anand, CEO, UTV Global Broadcasting, has confirmed this development and said that the agencies would be working to strengthen the brand’s image in the market.

The marketing spend for the three-month campaign has been pegged in the region of Rs 25 crore.

The campaign for UTV Action is already underway with the release of the teaser promos. The tagline for UTV Action is ‘Be Prepared’. Bindass Movies is slated to be phased out and the Bindass brand will be given more prominence.
