TapRoot makes it to Film Lions shortlist

The 59th International Festival of Creativity has announced shortlists for the Film category. Taproot’s ‘I am Mumbai’ campaign for Bennett, Coleman & Co is the only Indian entry in Film Lions. The entry is qualified in the ‘Publications and Media category’.

A total of 257 entries have made it to the final shortlist of the Film Lions category this year.

Last year was a good year for India in this category as it got two shortlists, both of which converted into metals – DDB Mudra and JWT India won a Bronze each in 2011.

Khai Meng Tham, Worldwide Chief Creative Officer, Ogilvy & Mather is the Jury President and Priti Kapur, Executive Creative Director, JWT Delhi is the Jury Member from India in the category this year.

The number of entries submitted by Indian agencies has dropped from 61 entries last year to 56 this year. There is an increase in total number of entries, however, with 3475 entries competing this year in this competition, as compared 3310 entries in 2011.

The Film category offers experts from the world of advertising the opportunity to promote themselves by showing their best and most original creative work. The Film trophies will be presented during the Film, Film Craft, Branded Content and Entertainment, and Titanium and Integrated Lions Awards ceremony, which will take place on Saturday evening June 23 at the Grand Auditorium, Palais des Festivals.
