Suzlon Energy reviews its Rs 25 cr advertising duties; four agencies shortlisted

Pune-based Suzlon Energy is reportedly reviewing both its creative and media duties, and has invited various agencies to pitch for the business. The size of the business is estimated to be in the region of Rs 25 crore. The incumbent agency is Dentsu Marcom, which handles both creative and media duties for Suzlon Energy.

Sources informed that the shortlisted agencies included O&M, Grey Worldwide, Rediffusion DY&R and Hakuhodo Percept. A decision on this is likely to take place by mid-August.

Suzlon Energy is one of the fastest growing wind energy companies in the world and is Asia’s strongest growing fully integrated wind power company. In the past, the company has advertised on TV along with print. Last year, it had spent on advertising in a big way prior to announcing their IPO, where the line of communication was that of being a leader in the wind energy sector.

With the company growing by leaps and bounds and establishing a global presence, probably this time around the communication would tread upon making wind energy relatable to the common man.

For the record, Suzlon specialises in providing total solutions in wind power generation with cohesive integration of design, manufacturing, installation, operation and maintenance services.
