Sudesh Puthran takes over as Managing Director, Mindshare Philippines

Mindshare APAC, the global media agency network part of WPP, has appointed Sudesh Puthran as Managing Director, Mindshare Philippines effective June 15.

Currently Chief Client Officer for Mindshare Indonesia, Puthran will succeed Sunitha Gopalakrishnan, who has decided to move on after a successful tenure of over five years.

Puthran has worked with the network for close to a decade. He brings a wealth of experience in translating strategy in successful execution, having had a rich and diverse career of over 16 years across India, Middle East, and South East Asia and with brands like Unilever, L’oreal, and Coca Cola. He will report to Himanshu Shekhar - CEO Mindshare ASEAN, and Puneet Arora, GroupM CEO Philippines.

Shekhar, on Puthran’s appointment said, “As a seasoned Mindshare talent, Sudesh is well placed to chart the new journey for Mindshare Philippines. He has been instrumental in transforming Mindshare’s product across platform. His passion for data and his ability to source solutions makes him an invaluable leadership talent. I am confident that under his leadership Mindshare Philippines will reach new heights and create new opportunities for our clients and stakeholders in the Philippines. I am delighted to witness another promotion from within our Mindshare family, which has a wealth of diverse talent and experience across the markets and network. I’d like to thank Sunitha for her tremendous contribution to the business over the past five plus years and we wish her the very best with her next journey.”

Also joining Mindshare Philippines is Abhishek Gupta, who takes up the position of Managing Director –Team Unilever. He has been pivotal to the Unilever regional work for many years.  With over 12 years of experience in media and having worked extensively across the region, Gupta brings strong strategic thinking and creative solutions and is highly regarded by the client throughout the region. He will report to Puthran.
