The news was confirmed by Murugavel Janakiraman, CEO, Bharat Matrimony Group. Speaking to exchange4media, he said, “Starcom demonstrated their abilities in the media buying space well, with their strengths in media planning and buying coming through strongly. Also, we have a lot of BTL activities planned across our brands, and they have a strong presence through a sister concern in this area also. Added to this, they have a strong base in Chennai, and that helps too.”
The Bharat Matrimony Group portfolio includes clickjobs.com, indiaproperty.com, indiaautomobile.com, indialist.com and indiapages.com, the offline venture Matrimony Centres, and parent brand bharatmatrimony.com. The group also has a non-commercial social service portal, bharatbloodbank.com.
