Star Sports' unreleased 'Mauka Mauka' video for World Cup final featuring Ranbir Kapoor leaked

India didn’t qualify for the World Cup 2015 finals, but Star Sports was ready with its ‘Mauka Mauka’ ad to celebrate the country’s victory at the semi final match played against Australia. The unreleased ad which features Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor was leaked on Monday, 6th April and it is currently trending across all social media sites.

The video which was made in anticipation that the World Cup finals will be played between India and New Zealand, starts with Ranbir asking the viewers that ‘Is Mauka Pe Nai Nachoge to Kab Nachoge’. It shows people from various communities celebrating and enjoying themselves as they groove to the tune of Mauka Mauka. It ends with Ranbir telling the viewers that the final Mauka has come and then the voice-over goes on to give details of ‘India Vs New Zealand’ final match on March 29.

On the day of the semi-final, sensing that India won’t reach the finals, Star Sports did a smart job of releasing the ‘Mauka Mauka’ ad with actor Salman Khan to promote the upcoming Pro Kabaddi League-Season 2. Adlanders appreciated the attempt because of its perfect timing and also the fact that the channel was riding the highly popular ‘Mauka’ wave to promote the next big ticket sporting event on the channel. The Mauka Mauka series of advertising, executed by the internal team of Star Sports shot to fame with the first Mauka film during the India Vs Pakistan match.
